Our skilled needle workers can make to order your exact specifications in under 3 weeks. The tailors can craft anything from shirts to three piece suits.

EVENING TAILS - WHITE TIE No it's not just Fred Astaire that used to wear evening tails whilst dancing with Ginger Rogers. It has become very fashionable of late in certain circles. You will look and feel stunningly immaculate in a set of our evening tails- you never know it might even make you feel like dancing. Cost of hiring a complete outfit is £110 per day (if there are any alterations required i.e. shortening of trousers, sleeves etc. they will be done on the spot at no extra charge). For a little bit extra we can hire you gloves/scarf and a cane. Also if you let us know in time we will arrange for a fresh white carnation for your buttonhole as a finishing touch. MORNING COAT A morning coat is a single-breasted coat, the front parts usually meeting at one button in the middle, and curving away into a pair of tails behind. The reason for the cutaway front of the skirt is to allow the wearer to ride a horse more readily. The cutaway front is curved for a morning coat and horizontal for the tailcoat. The lapels are usually peaked, not notched, and there are two buttons in the back of the waist. The coat can be grey or black as part of morning dress, and is usually worn with striped trousers. For weddings only the groom and bride's father are traditionally allowed to wear a grey morning coat, though this rule is less strictly enforced today. KILTS AND HIGHLANDWEAR At Buckleigh of London we pride ourselves on our ability to provide formal hire for all occasions. We hire kilts and highlandwear for boys and gentlemen alike. Our kilts are available in a range of tartans including: Modern Douglas Flower of Scotland Black Watch Dress Gordan Royal Stewart Scotland's National Tartan Hunting Stewart Modern Hunting Robertson Spirit of Bannockburn Irish National Welsh National Black Spirit The jackets are of two unique styles. The Prince Charlie is the most popular and has satin lapels and tails at the back and come with a matching plain waistcoat. The Argyll is considered less formal and has a gauntlet cuff. In addition to the kilt and jacket are a Skean Dhu, Sporran, Belt, Shoes, Hose, Flashes, Shirt and Kilt Pin. As with all of our hire merchandise, it is ideal to be measured by a trained professional who will be able to advise you correctly as to which size you should wear.

WAISTCOATS Buckleigh of London have excelled as specialists in their field for many years. We have for been leaders in providing unique and special waistcoats not seen elsewhere. Buckleigh of London may have been poorly imitated yet nobody else can quite achieve the Buckleigh Cut. From our premises at 83 Lower Sloane Street we hire and sell waistcoats. We sell both new and ex-hire waistcoats in a single breasted design. However, our skilled tailors are able to achieve your desired waistcoats in various styles. You can discuss different options with one of our tailors. The Buckleigh Cut waistcoats can be made in a single or double breasted style in an array of materials with a variety of linings. We have many different requests and are greatly experienced. A made to measure waistcoat costs approximately £250 bespoke and includes the material and lining of your choice. However, if for example, you are getting married and you want your ushers to wear waistcoats made from the same material as your bridesmaid's dresses then they would cost £145 because you would provide the material.
